Race Results April 6th, 2002 First night at the pit 2002!
|
|
With races at the Eagle and a big money race at SEMO, we thought maybe 50 entries but the 79 that showed up was more than enough to have a special initial non-points race to kick off the 2002 season.
So many new faces and a lot of familiar ones too, made this cool night very awesome and we were given some awesome races by our entries.
With most of our facility still under construction, and my digital camera battery left at home, we had a great time even tho we don't have any pics to show for it. What we did have was some wonderful family racers, having fun and enjoying the changes in our facility.
We are having rumors that we changed the shape of the track. I will tell you now, that is not possible, our reference pins have not been moved and the groove and barrels are in the same position as they have been. The track appears to be wider due to no hay bales anywhere, but we did not alter the shape of the surface at all. Its just a rumor to try and get stuff started early in the season....I think it's called..*racin* and we sure had some close races this evening.
Many thanks for all who came out and we hope you come back soon to ARP!!!
