Novice Junior |
It was just one of those days you knew either
it was going to be real good or real bad. It started out marginal, was
very hot and humid, and then we started seeing times and racers getting
quicker and quicker. Nine class records fell!!
The Rookie Sportsman record went to Justin Rochelle. The Purple Champ
record ended up in the hands of Hunter Wilbanks. In the Junior Champs,
Austin Billops took the record, and in the Senior Champs it was Jason Moss
taking the new record home with him. Brandon Moore took the record in the
Junior 2 class. In the stock classes, it was Michael Harville in Stock
Medium, Keith Stephenson in the Super Heavy class, Josh Boaz in in Heavy,
and Jeff Ragsdell in the Over 35 class. Most all of these records were
broken numerous times by numerous racers before the night was over. It was
just that fast and the karts were so stuck to the ground!!! In the Survivor Race, it was Tyler Smith taking the well earned victory. Tyler held off a charging J. L. Neisler for this win. In the largest class o9f the night, the Aqua Sportsman Champs had two heats and a feature that was all racing and exciting to watch. In the end it was John May in the 6J who took the checkered flag. Just check out the results below from my-laps dot com, and see how your favorite driver did. It was truly a good night for exciting racing. I would like to congratulate Jason Moss, with his victory as it gave him his 100th feature win since 1992 when he got his very first victory after racing for two years. He wanted me to mention that the last 75 feature wins were powered by Enik engines on Savage, Shadow, and Infinity karts. Jason may be stepping back a little, as his daughter will be of age to race next year and his son in just a couple of years so I suspect we will see one of the Moss racers out there for a while yet. Congrats Jay, you did good..not bad, not bad at all!! Somewhat of a new lay out but all the class feature winners pics are here just click on them to view the full pic and below is all the results and times courtesy of My Laps dot Com!!! See ya on the 26th!! |
