147 Entries!!!! Thanks to all the fans, teams, and drivers!!!! It was one of the hottest weeks I can remember getting the track ready. NO rain at all for over two weeks. Friday night practice saw it dry and hard and getting black, around 9PM. Open practice saw a good number of karts out and as it neared 9PM we saw the lightning in the distance and the wind picked up but around 9, there was a bright flash, and the facility's lights went out with karts ON the track. For a scary few moments we were getting the karts safely off the track and then a few minutes later, the rains came and came hard, and violent for over an hour. To be honest, as we left the facility around 10:15, we did not expect to even be able to recover from the storm. But working all day long on it, we did recover and we did have a huge crowd, thanks to the cooler temps, and we had some awesome racing. I really don't know where to start, I want to brag and yell out at the top of my lungs power, but again I cant cause of a conflict of interest, and being accused of being partial. But to suffice it to say we had a few first time winners in victory lane and the feelings have never been better. What amazes me is the sheer numbers of champ karts, 54; and 48 of those are in the junior classes, with 15 in the unrestricted class this week. We have come a long way since those two sportsman champs started it all for our junior drivers. We had new faces on and off the track this week. Awesome for sure, and we do hope you return. And we had some special moments, some captured here on this page, and some we just took home with us as another great night of racing. And...........
