Before we get started on this weeks pics and results I want to show you all some evidence of why I think we have one of the best photographers in racing. Roger Smith does some awesome work as I have said time and time again. His ability to catch not only the racing action but the most important feelings of a race are second to none. And his poster work is outstanding.

     

Here are more examples of his work and you can see for yourself the way he brings out the pure emotion of our sport in the faces of Dylan and Cameron in the two posters.

Without Roger's photos, the story of our family would be a lot harder to show here on this website. Thanks Roger, for all your hard work and your talents in helping us share with everyone why we do what we do.

134 Entries. It was hot! Very Hot!

Personally I don't think I have ever been as uncomfortable at a race. The air was stagnant and as stale as ever and so many fans and racers were trying hard to find comfort while being a part of a really good showing of racers and fans.

And then of course......

There was the moon. As full as could be, and shining its fullness down on us with all the intensity that full moons bring. But no moon, nor the heat could mask the racers determination to do their thing on the track. Look on this page and see who the winners were; you will see new faces, and some familiar ones, and all had one thing in common, they beat the heat with a little of their own heat.

Jordan Meyers returned to the winners circle taking a hard-fought-for Junior 3 victory. 12 in the class made for some really awesome racing. And what about David Davidson; he showed a lot of patience and driving ability to take the Junior Animal win in that classes biggest showing. The animals are coming race fans, we need to get ready for them.

In the survivor race it was our Junior 2 gold class. And tonight the head of the class was Hollis Belton driving the #89 to an awesome win. Hollis drove a near perfect race and this had to be one of his most important outings as a young race driver. This class is loaded with talent, as most all our classes are, and the downhill racing to the end of our record setting points season will be one to watch for sure.

First time winners were Stewart Teuscher in the Over 35 class and Dillon Wooley in the Novice Junior Class. Returning to the winners circle were, J.L. Neisler, Troy Dow, Tyler Smith, Wade Massey, Lindsey Prewitt, Taylor Moore, Cameron Hart, Mark Pasino(twice, way to go Mark), Mitchell Bridges, and Jason Moss. Also returning to the winners circle was Austin Billops in the #10 Junior unrestricted Champs. We had 14 in this class. It was something to see them running and racing as hard as they were.       

But the real story this day was the heat. and how we dealt with it.
