Novice Junior (4)

One to go!! It's hard to believe the 2004 season has come down to just one more points race but  it has and its less than two weeks away. It will be a very exciting ending to our racing season but if you missed this race you missed a good one. The weather was perfect, and we had some outstanding races.

You knew how the day was going to go when you watched some of our young racers trying to decide on who was brave enough to go in our fountain for a closer look at a recently deceased frog. Maybe its a a good thing we only have a rear shot of the actual brave soul who dared touch the late great amphibian.

First time winners to victory lane, Brandon Stubblefield in the Purple Sportsman Champs, and Taylor Moore in the Rookie Sportsman Class. The smiles on these two faces alone was well worth the whole nights racing for sure.

Can you believe no cautions in the Aqua Sportsman Champ class and in the Junior 2 gold class. You just had to be there and see it to understand what I mean. Awesome racing; it just couldn't be much better.

When you go look at the way the points standings are in some of the classes, you can easily see why on October 30th, the "heat" will be on and the intensity will be at an all time high. But if the last few races are any indication of how our racers will do, then they will be out there running their hearts out doing some of the best racing I have ever seen anywhere.

Just when you think the pressure could get to these young racers, they prove you totally wrong and put on a show you talk about for days and days.

You need to plan on being at our next race to see the final outcome of this hard-fought-for season.

We have some special announcements next race about the awards banquet, and how many awards will be handed out. We will announce a special race for next season that will be a first of its kind in our area. And some of us...plan on trick-or-treating the pits so you better bring us all some edible goodies........

If not......we have plans for what's left of our deceased pair of........fountain pets????


Yeah and don't forget......October 30th..gates open at 9 am, practice at 10 am and races begin at 1 pm...I know that some of you may have to actually get out of bed before noon on a Saturday and I hope the surprise of being up that early on a weekend don't shock you into forgetting our goodies for our trick-or-treaters!!!!.....if you do we hope you like frog legs.....I hear they taste like chicken???
