2000 Points Final

It was final points night and we had a lot of fun as most of the classes had already been determined. But after the race All champions were determined. You can see the final Champions Listing Here. 
From all the staff we want to congratulate every racer for their support and especially the Champions on their hard work, throughout the race season.

It was so good to see Matthew Griffin back racing in the Novice class again. The last time Matthew raced, he was involved in an accident, and this night he won the "A" Main in our novice class. Way to go Matthew. 
Unfortunately, your cameraman (me) messed up his picture, but I will take a new one the next time I see him. Congrats go out to Matthew though as he really did a great job.

It was Nathan Holder taking his sixth victory of the year, Congrats to Nathan for his great victory. 

Garry Boggan took the checker flag in the Junior 1 class. Now Gary happens to be your Junior 1 points champion, but tonight was his 14th victory this year. Yes you heard right 14 wins this season.  Gary drove his heart out all year and we congratulate his latest victory!!!

Don Young drove the #11 kart to victory in the Junior 2 Class taking his third victory of the season including the first race of the season. Congrats Don!!

Ty Jones had this funny looking flag stuck to his helmet during practice but it must have proved to be a good luck charm because he took the Stock Light and the Stock Medium Checkered flags.
The Stock Medium Race was our final survivor race of the season and Ty took the victory making him the only racer to take two victories in the survivor series races this year. He won the Stock Light Survivor race on October 7th. Congrats to Ty, but I still would like to know about that flag on your helmet

Another double winner was Harry McDowell in both Stock Heavy and Over 35 Classes.

Randy McCullough won his first victory this year in the Limited/Mods Class. It was just a matter of time and Randy came through with the victory, way to go Randy!!

And taking his 15th win of the season, and the over all 2000 ARP Track Championship with over 5000 accumulated points , Jason Moss took the checker flag in the Champ Class once again. 
Besides his victory and championship, he also gets the hardest worker award for the baddest track surface around. Atoka has never been as fast as it has this year. 
Jason's hard work and dedication and never give up attitude on getting the track surface ready for race day is just another example of his dedication to the sport.

So there it is, the 2000 points season is over. I have never seen the intensity, and close racing that we had continually this year at ARP. We offered the racers the best we could give them in track conditions, and readiness. What we got in return was side by side two wide racing at times that really had the race fans on their feet. 

I feel like we have the greatest racers and race fans anywhere at ARP. 2001 is even going to be bigger and better.
