How come the track surface smells like bubble gum?

It was a great night of racing.

Megan presents Joe with an award! It started out with an award presented to Joe Medlock, and the Medlock racing team from Megan Ellis and her racing team for the help and support of one family to another. The Medlocks invited the Ellis's to our track a few races ago and Megan and her family headed by dad Don Ellis presented this award to Joe in recognition of what they believe is the true meaning of racing, sportsmanship, and family first at all times. We also congratulate Joe Medlock, Don Ellis and all our racers for continuing to uphold the family traditions at ARP!!

Megan EllisWe had another highlight in the pre-race ceremonies, when young Megan sung out National Anthem. It was definitely a sign of what was to come, and that was a warm night full of memories to keep for a long time. I want to thank Megan and her family for helping us realize our goals to provide a first class racing facility with the family first in mind, is becoming a reality.

It was some awesome racing that made the rest of the night. We had started to use a special formula of track prep and it seemed to really hold the dust down and make the track very sticky. If you ask the racers, you were hearting of the fastest times *ever* at ARP and the quality of the racing showed it throughout ALL classes.

We had 14 Junior Sportsman Champs, and no caution after the start of the race and I personally have not seen a more exciting race with the Juniors in this class. The top 6 wove in and out of lap traffic with a preciseness that made everyone awed at the show, of determination in their driving.

In our Survivor Series Race, it was Doug Wescott, taking the 40 lap victory after Joe Baker lost an engine with three laps to go. But Doug's strong consistent driving allowed him to take the lead in this 40 lap feature.

Oh yeah, with 133 entries, we were finished at 11:10, not to shabby.

I want to thank each and every one of our racers, and race fans for your support and your dedication to our facility. We are not even half way through the season and the racing and facility will continue to grow.!!!!!
