Thanks for your continued support!

A strange night, a fast track and some delays forced us to call the race with only 4 completed Features. We had to revert back to the results of our heats for awards in the remaining classes.

We had to transport one of our racers to the hospital and the return of the ambulance would have made it past our curfew time. The racer is Chris Minton, driving in the Junior Sportsman Champ Class. Chris was checked over and released with no broken bones, but  just very sore. Chris was wearing all safety harnesses and this is a testimony to the safety factor of the champ karts.

We hope to avoid a delay like this in the future, as we will have an earlier starting time for our next event.

The pictures were taken of the four completed features. The top 5 results of the heats are listed below in the remaining classes along with pictures from earlier this season.

True Sportsmanship

The picture above represents what we strive for at ARP. Two strong competitors on the track, giving it their best,  week in and week out, striving to experience victory, and dealing honorably, with defeat. On the left is this weeks feature winner in our Aqua Class in the Junior Sportsman Champs, driving the #8M, ten year old, Derek Medlock, showing the flag for the second time this season. On the right, driving the #10, is eleven year old, Austin Billops, who this year has won six feature wins in this class. Friends off the track, and true sportsmen on the track. We congratulate both these young men who, by their actions, can teach us all what racing should be about, on and off the track. Thanks go out to Austin and Derek, their families, and crew for this weeks display of true sportsmanship!
