The kart count was down some but the excitement and hard racing was certainly anything but down.

Dustin Stagen took his first ever feature win at ARP in the Purple Junior Sportsman Champs. It was to say the least a long time coming for this young racer who has been a part of our growth and the growth of karting for the past five years. You may have had the fortune to remember his VERY early years as depicted in these two pics taken at ARP during a very early time. And yes, he is singing the National Anthem at a very age5 years old!! The microphone was almost as big as he was.

Also if you look at the backgrounds of these two pics you may see some young racers who are not so young anymore, and even some who had long hair who don't anymore.

"Old Timers" Tyler Smith and Corey Ray returned to the winners circle And we had a lot of double class winners.

We had a situation happen in the Stock Heavy Class that is causing us to not award points yet because we made a mistake in the start of the race and it penalized unfairly two racers. What we propose to do is have an extra race the next event with the same entries, and combine points and take an average to award as fairly as possible, our mistake and we have to fix it the best we can.

Lindsey Prewitt in the Purple Champs took a bad hit on the guardrail but we are happy to say Lindsey is fine and doing ok. She is a bit sore but will return to race with us next race.
