July 26th Race Results
110 Entries....Thanks for Your Support!!!

IT was two weeks of no way to update this site and now its online once again.

We had a good race on the 26th. Some awesome races, and our congratulations go out to Marshall Higgs who won our Survivor Series Race in the 30 lapper in our Rookie Sportsman class.

I Need to make a few observations here about rumors flying around, and the typical trash talk you hear in the Memphis area concerning our program at ARP and racing in general.

We are not perfect, and never have I ever said anything to lead anyone to believe that's what we think. We make mistakes, we try and fix those mistakes, and we will admit to those mistakes. All mistakes are not correctable after the fact tho. It is a part of racing EVERYONE who races should understand fully.  Communication is a must in trying to repair some mistakes, but learning from those mistakes is the true way to recover.

It is a two way street though. All racers have to understand, all calls will not be the ones you would have made yourself, or wanted to see happen. Consistency is our goal. Some would say we are consistently bad, but most do not feel that way. We are doing what we feel is our very best, and we will strive to improve all operations of our facility.

I cant say enough of how proud we are of all the racers, young and old,  who support us week to week. We had some new faces out there and some old friends returning once again. I invite everyone  back to race with us again and we thank each and every one who came out for this race.

We are very proud of our track, very proud of our track officials, and track workers, and we work on that pride to bring you the very best racing week to week that we can. We shall do no less, and we will not back down for any reason our commitment to give our young racers a place to learn true sportsmanship, and competitiveness, in a very demanding atmosphere.

We get called the ""Rat Hole"" track in Memphis by those who want to see us fail. All I can say to that is "sad sad sad", and we vow to continue to bring the Memphis area racer, the very best we can. I have said many times in the last 13 years, it CAN be done, and at Atoka, we are doing it!!!! To those who call us names continuously and back them up with threats, that's entirely your right to do so, but just understand we recognize it as being YOUR problem, not ours.

Slanderous names are meaningless.  We however, turn our backs on no one, and the name calling and threats of putting us out of business are the norm, coming from  dissatisfied individuals and organizations, who cant handle the pressure of just stepping up and becoming part of a growing Memphis karting community, but rather would be satisfied in keeping it as divided and segregated as possible...the norm in the past????, perhaps, but status quo is not status quo anymore. We want to unite and build racing in this area for ALL. And if it comes to smoking guns, you can bet your &#$ we will be still standing when the smoke clears. But a divided racing community can be of no gain to anyone.

Enough of my soapbox talk.

We want to thank all who came out to watch and participate in yet another event at ARP.   See you soon I hope and we invite ALL to come have a fun night with us soon.

1 Cody Burks Cody BurksI don't really know what else to say about this young man, so I'm not changing a thing I wrote last race. With a constant smile that never goes away, he continues to hit his mark lap after lap, and this week he makes it 9 in a row in a very tough and demanding Junior 1 class. I've seen him in victory and defeat, but I've always seen the same dignified young racer. Congrats go out to Cody Burks and his crew for this well earned victory!!!
