It was a night to remember for sure. A bad accident in our first feature gave us all concern as young Brandon Moore, driving the red #17 in our Junior Novice feature got loose, and hit the front straight wall very hard. Brandon was transported by our on site EMT's to the hospital where he was checked out and released, but very bruised up and very sore. I was so relieved when i heard he didn't have any broken bones as he took a very hard contact with the wall. I hear he is planning on returning this week to race with a new color body on his kart, and a new determination to continue his racing at ARP.  We look forward to having Brandon back with us again.

 

Our survivor series Race was double intense as we had TWO 30-lap features with our Junior Sportsman Champs taking the spotlight. Derek Medlock took the top spot in out Purple division, and Cody Burks took the top spot in out Aqua division. Both features were excellent and very exciting.

 

The highlight of the night was the first Builtweiser Dash for Cash race sponsored by Builtweiser Karts. This format took the top 4 finishers in stock light, medium, heavy, and super heavy, and starting them in a 20 lap dash for cash. Driving the #77,  our earlier Over 35 winner, Kevin Jarrell took the top spot in this super race of champions. We thank Roger Wilson and Builtweiser karts for sponsoring this race and Congratulations go out to Kevin and all his crew. Icing on the cake was the fact that Kevin drives a Builtweiser Kart.

Junior Novice "A"

It was Derek Medlock taking his first of two victories of this race taking the top spot in our Junior Novice "A" feature. Derek's Picture did not come out as we had lots of problems with our back up camera. I will retake it and place it here after our next race. Congrats to Derek for his victory.

Junior Novice "B"

It was two in a row for the #3 kart driven by Tyler Ortiz, taking the top spot in our "B" feature in our Junior Novice class. Tyler won a feature at our last race and once again he wins this night. Congrats go out to Tyler and his family and crew.

Well once again, and for the 8th time this season, driving the #76 Kart, our feature winner was Will Holder. Will's consistent driving brought home yet another first place finish. Way to go Will, congrats to you and your crew!

Junior 2

It was Mark Pasino once again taking a victory driving the #3 kart in our Junior 2class. This was Marks 6th victory of the season and once again "I" lost the picture in our backup camera. I will retake this one too, and place it here as it had Marks #1 fan in it as well, his mom. Sorry Mark about the picture, but Congrats on your win!!!

Junior 3

The *young guns* returned as Ty young took this feature win in our Junior 3 class. I had a few of the pictures not come out due to using a backup camera and this was one of them, but i will retake this as it has BOTH the young guns in it, Ty and younger brother Cheney. Sorry guys for the bad picture, I will make it up. Congrats Ty, you deserved this win for sure!!

Junior Sportsman Champ [Purple]

The Medlock family celebrates for the second time this evening as Derek wins the Survivor Series Race in the Purple class of our Junior Sportsman Champs. Derek drove a well earned feature win in the first of our two Survivor Series Races of the night. Congrats to Derek and his family and crew!!

Junior Sportsman Champ [Aqua]

Driving that familiar 38JR was our feature winner in our Aqua class of our Junior Sports Champs, Cody Burks. Cody led from start to finish in our second of two Survivor Series 30-lappers of the evening. Cody drove hard and consistent to take this well earned victory. Way to go Cody!!!

Hard Charger Award
   

We are going to give out a hard charger award each week to a driver who shows determination and sportsmanship. This will most likely be a racer who strives to do his best. I have a winner this week, but we wont announce it until our next race. His or her picture will be placed here then.
