Three points races left and the tensions, and the tempers flared, but all in all we had an awesome night of racing on an very smooth surface, and excellent temperatures. We had first time racer Taylor Moore makes his first race in our Rookie Sportsman class and he really did good for his first time out. He ran a good line, watched the flags and lights very carefully and he unfortunately hit the wall. But he still stuck with it and showed what a little seat time and preparation can do for beginning racers. It is so important to young racers that they are taught and shown the basics of what they have to contend with on the track during a race. Taylor showed us all what a little preparation could do for his confidence and nerves on our track for the first time. Awesome family work and dedication!!! It is what it is all about!!!! Roger Wilson won two features, and the Higgs brothers, Phillip and Marshall, won in Jr2 and Rookie Sportsman. Joseph Leister is on a roll in the Light Class, with Mitchell Bridges taking the Medium feature win. Jake Tucker, Austin Billops, Tyler Smith, Jason Moss, Cody Caldwell, Mark Pasino, and Josh Boaz were repeat winners in their classes. We have a week off and then its controlled madness as the season comes to a non stop three (four) weeks in a row finale, the fourth week in a row being the Fall Classic. I mentioned tensions being high?? This is crunch time for everyone concerned. Its all coming down to the wire and we all have to keep in some kind of controlled sanity. Will it be easy?. Nope!! Will it be exciting, Oh yea, and then some.!!! See ya on the 20th!!
It was the night of the Purple Restricted Junior Sportsman Champs!!! Scott the Rocket Tutor, survived as the top runner in this exciting race of their 30 lapper. The racing just gets better and better!
